The individual intake runners tame big cams so they're much more street friendly, add bottom end torque, and make more hp vs the normal 4 barrel and plenum manifold. Not hard to tune either with **good** linkage, a sync/airflow meter, and a wideband air/fuel ratio gauge.

$11-12K for an iron block 430 hp ZZ383 topped with Weber 48 IDA style throttle bodies. I think I can build the planned destroked aluminum LS2 with LS3 heads and my own intake manifold with carbs for a little over half that and make around 475-500 at the wheels. Unported LS3 heads will make 500whp all day long on a 6.0; no reason they wouldn't on a smaller engine if its revved higher.

Sorry, that's the only two carbs I have! Originally bought then for my VW stroker motor build. They're 48mm bore with 37mm venturies- too small for a V8. The new repops are available with 51mm bores and whatever size venturies are needed. 48's with 42mm vents flow around 340 cfm per barrel- not enough since each cylinder only has access to one barrel.

This weeks updates- I worked out a trade for a F-body oil pan and pickup tube. A friend called and asked if I would be interested in painting the wheels on his Trans Am, and I jokingly said that if he found me an oil pan that I would. So he actually called around and found one in about ten minutes from one of his friends doing a LS1 swap into a 240Z! So next weekend he'll have blacked out wheels and Ill have a oil pan and a little cash to boot. I also ordered an Energy Suspension black urethane body mount kit that should come next week.

Next on the list is to level the frame, mount the body, swap oil pans and finalize the engine placement, then start the crossmember raise.

MalibuKasey and I have been planning out building our own tubular A-arms that fix the lack of needed castor and camber adjustment that stock arms have and also move the wheel forward to center the wheel in the fenderwell while we're at it. I'm also going to look into taller C20 upper ball joints that will increase camber gain through the suspension travel, and possibly drop the upper A-arm cross bar mount for even more camber gain if its needed.

I'll be sure to keep you guys posted on the A-arm details. Planning on making two double sided/mirrored jigs (one for upper and one for lower arms) that will handle both left and right arms to locate the cross shaft and ball joint locations. The relocated ball joint location and angle will be built into the jigs. Still working on figuring out what tubing size/thickness, cross shafts, and ball joint cups will be needed.

Don't tell me you 86'd this part of the project and decided to buy rather than redesign.
I was curious on what you came up with cause your always top notch.
I recently made a upper ball joint/a-arm mod and not sure if it will help or hinder my build.

I sold the stock parts to fund the parts to build my own arms and also for the No Limit rack and pinion. I'll post the A-arm build here, no worries!

Did a little parts shopping. Picked up an original offset stud driver side mirror that will replace the original (and hideous!) RV jr mirrors. Still need a passenger side arm and mirror head. Also scored a deal on a pair of NOS Custom sail plates.

nice finds, especially the cab sails! I need to find a set of mirrors like that for mine in the future. I plan to get rid of the dumbo style aftermarket mirrors which are also hideous! btw, where'd you find the Custom cab sails?

They were on eBay. I couldn't sleep one night and found them about 1:00AM, they had just been posted. I have "64 65 66 Chevy truck" saved in the eBay app to pull up newly listed items, my Paypal account would be in much better shape if I got rid of that!!
