Smile LOKAR cable shift

Has anyone used the Lokar cable shift setup on their 55-59 Chevy trucks? I am thinking about it or the Ididit set up. I was just looking for a few opinions

Re: LOKAR cable shift

I had to have it to make my column shift clear my 5.3l. I guess the LS engines are wider and I had to run the shift arm 180 degrees out, impossible with a linkage shift but the cable was perfect. Works great!

Re: LOKAR cable shift

I looked at it but found it was cheaper to make my own using a B&M racing shift cable and trans mount kit from Oriellys. I made my own firewall bracket. You can see it starting here in my build thread.

Re: LOKAR cable shift

I used a Lokar bolt on shifter on my TH400. I like the looks and it shifts good having to depress the button to go into park or neutral.
