Re: Electric vehicle conversion Gotta see it!
Keith...pros and cons of electric motors? I heard the charge of the batteries doesn't last very long. You definetly can't take the car to your average shade tree mechanic. And all the money you save on gas you spend on electricity bills.

Con - heavy, and expensive; limited range. In the case of the Chevy Volt it's roughly 40 miles (after that the gasoline generator kicks in). Electric bill - negative. Costs me about $1.16 to recharge. Definitely cheaper than gasoline. K

Re: Electric vehicle conversion Gotta see it!
people dont like the idea of lose'n trhere gas burner's so they will make up or repeat invalid reason'n to bash electric vehicle's. same thing when casstette's took over 8 tract's or CD's took over cassette's.
they fear what they dont understand.

Re: Electric vehicle conversion Gotta see it!
Kieth, when your Volt batterys get low and the gas engine come's on, does it propell the car or a generator so the electric motor can continue to operate like it does in the VIAmotor's truck ?
