Re: 01-06 Tahoe seatsin C10?

I put some in that I was told were from a Tahoe. The part number sheet said they were made in '05.

The job isn't too difficult. They do not match up to any of the original bolt holes. I used a 1/8" C channel from Home Depot as backing for the bolts. I will eventually go back and weld them to the floorboard for added strength.

They are rather comfortable. The only issues I can say I have with them are:
They are a little close to the steering wheel. I plan on sliding the steering column a little closer to the dash to help fix this problem, but that will also bring it closer to my knees. I am 6'2", so this may not be a problem for everyone. I will probably end up having to get a tilt column.
Also, if you put the center console down, you see the fuel tank. Not a problem if you've moved it. I plan on buying a carpet to cover the tank.

I put 98 Pontiac Bonneville Gray Leather buckets in my 67. 9 way power on both. Funny thing is there is no need for the power. Not enough room anyway. 100 bucks on Craigslist. And to be honest, there are alot of Bonnevilles in the Salvage yards nowadays.

Is your tank behind the seat still? Found set of tahoe for 100.
Waiting on pictures. Wanting a solution to not having a shoulder
belt. Built in, plus comfy seat is a bonus. Car seat is also a consideration.

Re: 01-06 Tahoe seatsin C10?

I guess I should have stated earlier. I relocated my tank to between the frame rails. The filler is in the left rear fender. I may be able to get some pics later today. I will need to pull Peppy out of the garage. No shoulder belts. One of the belts originally was in the seat on the inside. I removed them. Just lap belts. The seats are really comfortable. And the outside bolt holes lined up but not the inside ones. I did like the others did. I drilled a hole for the inside bolts and put a long piece of flat steel underneath to keep them from pulling out.

First I got to go to PicknPull with the neighbor. There is a 70 C10 and a 00 Silverado on the Yard. We don't see them much around here.

Re: 01-06 Tahoe seatsin C10?

Those type of seats have been used countless times in these truck, the main complaint is the lack of room in there. That is the same thing I found when I put some in as well. I am 6'2 and go in almost 400 lbs but I not fat I am just under tall for my weight.

Check out this article,, might be a solution ! These brackets are for the 95-98 buckets but might work or be adaptable !
