1956 3100 original ride height
Anyone know the specs for approximate OE ride height. What size tires were original? Truck now has 235 75 r15 tires all the way around.
I have a budy that is replacing some saging springs and wants to put it back to as close to original height as posible. Thanks Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 1956 3100 original ride height
Thanks that is a good reference. It mentions that the heights are without body or payload. Any guess on how much having the body and bed on would sink it down?
Anyone have an original suspension truck they could pull tape for me? Posted via Mobile Device

I didn't catch that. It may be in the factory service manual or the assembly manual then.

Re: 1956 3100 original ride height
Mine had 16" originals on it when I got it. The rims had the clips to hold the caps on. It sat pretty high, never bumped my head getting in until the front clip was installed with the 15"s. My best guess is the inside top door was at 6' because it used to brush my hat if I was wearing one.
