Looking at a dmax
Looking at buying a 03 GMC crew cab short bed 2500 HD with a duramax/allison combo. truck has power windows,locks,remote start,bully dog programmer etc.
never bought a newer truck before let alone a diesel.... what should i look for? what out for etc. trucks got 225K km. thanks Dru.

Need to have the motor checked out (injector balance rates checked) by a diesel tech. The injectors are very expensive to replace on 01-04 D-Max's so sometimes guys will sell them when it comes time to replace. That's pretty much it though.

Save up and get the 05-early 07 models much more desired and concidered the best diesels GM made.

I wouldn't really say that. I have pretty much that same truck with 270k miles and no problems. I picked it up for $7000 about a year and a half ago. An '05 is going to be about three times that. Not worth the difference.
