GMC headlight issue

Hey Guys having some trouble with my headlights on my 71 Jimmy. coming home from work last night the passanger low beam headlight went out. It works on the high beams so I'm guessing the bulds low beam went out so I switched them to high on the way home all 4 were working when I left my work but when I got home the high beam light was out (the inside light)and only the low beam bulb was working on high I hope this isnt confusing to anyone. if you can help that would be great.

Thanks

Check and make sure all of the grounds are clean and tight. Also check the connectors on the headlights themself and give them a clean and lube with dialetric (electrical) grease.

Have you tried new bulbs? Have you checked and cleaned your connections?

Re: GMC headlight issue

Try this:

Turn them on with the brights and wiggle the connectors where they plug into the headlights and see what happens. Next try the same thing with the grounds. If nothing happens, then with your fist, give the headlight a wack and see if it comes on or goes out. If yes, then the headlight filaments are broken and just barely making a connection.

You can also check the connections on the floor dimmer switch.
