I am not 100% sure, but I am 95% sure they are. call Early Classic and ask them.

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

They are the same for all size bars.

Here is a new one. You can see the GM part number there if you need to order one...

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

Hey Tx Firefighter, what did you do to that bracket? I would hate to see how the truck that was connected to it looked.

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

It's on an old work truck I fixed up to haul my hay with. The truck was previously owned by an electric utility company. I suspect some yay-hoo hooked a chain to the bracket to jerk the truck out of a ditch at some time in the past.

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

I was curous about this also but you can see the differances between the brackets on my kids truck(the smaller bar) compared to the the 1 1/4bar i put on mine

also when i pulled mine off the truck in the yard it had two differnt u clamps on it two of witch didnt really have the proper reach too fully seat on the bracket with the bushing. it was crushing the bushing badly now because most of this bar was bolted on I'm assuming somebody replaced the u clamps and didnt use the correct clamps

the bracket on the kids truck is definitly taller than the ones on mine and they both came from our gener of trucks(not sure exactly what years) and also the frame brackets are differnt thickness in mateirals

oh and please dont ask what the stuck washer is for on the kids truck i have no idea what n why he does sometimes

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

Looking at your pictures, the top brackets are definitely aftermarket. Notice the grease zerks. I also believe the bottom ones are aftermarket too. They are cadmium plated whereas the factory ones are black.

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

I must say though when i pulled my bar at the jy there was two differnt sized bushing clamps on this bar one set was slightly shorter and crushed the bushing.I dont think they were oe brackets for these trucks but from something else that looked correct just shorter they almost resembled conduit clamps but i really dont think they were they were probally just from a differnt application
I had tried them on some new moog bushings that i ordered and they would've crushed the bushing way too much. hence the reason i got the aftermarket bushings with the grease zerts and hell they were only a dollar or two more $ than the moog set up

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

Ok guys, now y'all have me confused and I know what your referring to. I "think" the OP was asking about the bushing clamps, not the brackets.

So to clarify, the brackets are all the same. Is it correct that the clamps are too? From what I remember, the only difference is the actual ID of the bushing is larger to accommodate the larger bar.

I agree, that bushing brackets are all the same its the size of the hole in the bushing that is different.

N2TRUX understood what I was getting at but by this time I had already figured it out. Thanks for clarifying though

Re: sway bar bushings brackets

I was confused too.

Gm only has one part number for the frame bracket and one part number for the clamp regardless of model year from 1960 whatever up through 91 and regardless of bar size.
