Guage Questions 69 c10

I apologize in advance if it is easily found by someone else. Ive searched for about an hour and have found a few articles on how to brighten up the gauge cluster. Removing the cluster wasnt a problem. Now im kinda confused, does anyone have a write up on how to paint the bezel and what colors would make it brighter. I recently purchased 4 360 degree red led lights from superbrightleds.com. What can i do to upgrade the cluster in order to make it brighter.

I realize this is a pretty noob question, but going from building hondas to classic trucks is like night and day. The classics are so much easier and more fun to play with.

Thank you in advance for all the information

Dustin

I painted the back side of the metal housing white to reflect the light better and it worked well for me.

Re: Guage Questions 69 c10

Here's a good write up on rebuilding the clusters. I've also read how many people change out their 194 bulbs with 168's or even LED's like you did and it brightens things up quite a bit; so I've read and seen from pics.

Anyway.. it's don't get anymore detailed than this write up:
