Tired of 67 grill bowtie, what SS emblem fits?

Ive had the stock red bowtie on my 67 grill since I had it painted 10 years ago. I'm ready for a change. I seen a 67 on youtube that had "SS" in the grill that looked pretty good.

Any ideas which one fits best? From a Chevelle SS? Camaro SS? Are they wide enough to cover the existing bowtie holes?

So...do you care to share what you used and if any trimming/grinding was involved? Are you happy with the results? Or just gonna leave us hanging with "Done..."

Thanks, John

Lol

Is there anything else on the truck that goes with the SS badge.? Just wondering would like to see a "SS" looking truck or a truck that could pull off a Z71 package something with true offroad roots.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Re: Tired of 67 grill bowtie, what SS emblem fits?

OK,OK...haha

I did have to do some trimming on the emblem to match the angle of my 67 grill which is 10 degrees. I used a carboard beer box as a template, cutting it to match the grill angle. Then once I was happy with the cardboard fit, I used a sharpie to tranfer mark the angle on the emblem.

The emblem trimmed easy. Nothing a dremel couldnt handle. I smoothed the dremel cut edges with a file and then touched up shiny edges with flat black paint.

I then had to drill (2) new holes in the grill to mount the emblem since they werent even close to the original holes. The emblem is big enough to cover up the existing bowtie holes so that's not an issue. I used the backing plate included with the emblem to transfer mark the hole locations.

I have to say Im happy with the fit and look ....I also installed a chevelle SS steering wheel to complement the SS theme.....maybe next I'll add racing stripes
