Does anyone no if (shoulder) seat belts were an option in our trucks. I have been been workin on mine rockers cab corners and paint and i have noticed there are threaded bolt holes were i think a seat belt would go

Yes they were an option in 67-72. Not very common either.

Just a note, all trucks had the holes - but as, toomucstuff said, very few had the actual option.

If you see holes where you are working in cab corners and rockers you are looking at the set belt holes. The shoulder belt mounts are up (above your shoulder) in the b-pillar with a plastic cap.

I had two sets for a couple of my trucks,but sold them.Although it's cool to have such a rare feature,I wouldn't want to use them and prefer a more modern design. The shoulder and lap belts are two completely different sets with separate buckles. It's a clumsy and awkward set-up,IMO. I wish someone would make the hardware to take this type of webbing and buckles to make a unified set that would appear original. They'd sell like hotcakes

Here's what I did. Bought a set of 3 points from GEM street rods. Took the anchor plate/eyelet off one end and removed the narrow modern male end and replaced it with the male end from my lap belt. Then had upholstery shop sew it back on the anchor/eyelet. Removed the female buckle from my old lap belt and had the upholstery shop re-web it and sew it so it is now fixed and not adjustable. All the adjustment needed comes from the 3 point retractor. The shop did both 3 points and re-webbed my center belt (which still functions as it did from the factory with a fixed male end and an adjustable female end) for $38. I can't remember what I paid for the belts. They were reasonable and although it doesn't look factory, for me it is a good compromise between modern safety and semi factory looking.
