I agree, your driveshaft looks a little short. How long is that tailshaft? If it's too short, you'll tear up the bushing in the tailshaft and then have other things to worry about.

Extended cab 2wd s10s are notorious for eating the rear double cardain joint, especially if lowered. The pinion angle is off from the factory. We won't warranty an ex cab 2wd s10 shaft unless they shim the pinion down.
I rebuild at least 3 a week.
