Exclamation Seats on a 66 C-10

I need some help, I am building a 66 stepside for my son, he is 15 years old, and I want to give this truck to him as a present for his 16 BDay. I always like the seats from the checy truck/tahoe, the ones with the seat belt on them. Well I just bought a set of front seats from a 2004 Tahoe, so I was trying them on the truck, I am 5'-7", so when I set them on the cabin and I sit on it, it was confortable and the right size, but wait, this is for my son, he is about 5'-10" and he is getting taller, so I ask him to sit and his knees where almost touching the steering wheel, and look kind of unconfortable. I guess my question is who actually have these seats on their 66 trucks and if you are tall how did you fit on them, because now I am thinking to use some other seats, but I would like them to have the seat bealts.

Thanks

Are you going to relocate the fuel tank? I have read that it is still tight for taller folks. We decided to reuse the bench. The truck is my son's daily driver. He is 17 and 6' tall. Here's the post that helped us decide. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=264164

Re: Seats on a 66 C-10

I have them in my 65 and Im 6'3". I use a smaller steering wheel and a tilt but other than that its fine. slightly cramped but it doesnt bother me, Ill take that for the comfort and the seat belts

ljackson, I dont have a fuel tank on the cabin, I put it on the rear.

Clyde65 do you have any pictures of the set up.

I do have a tilt column. I was thinking some car seats might fit better.

Thanks
