will 87 body fit k. 76 frame

I got a 87 cab and front end and a 73-80 round opening box all on a 76 frame with 87 rubber mounts and its an inch short lining up with perch for core support and gap between box and cab is already 2 inches wide

i've seen this same swap done before, so i dont see why it wouldnt work. my first thought is to add a spacer for the radiator support, but i'm not sure what you mean about the cab/ bed gap. does the cab have to go foward? a pic might help.

How did you get the 87 body mounts to fit the 76 frame? The mounting

From what I have seen you have to use the correct year mounts as the frame. So in your case use the 76 body mounts on the frame and it will bolt on and should be fine.

Yes. The body mount bushings have to the same year as your frame, not body. I put a 86' body onto a 76' k10 chassis using 76' bushings and everything lined up fine.

just last summer i put a 84 body on a 73 frame, like said before you have to use the correct year body mounts for the frame not the body everything lined up great for me until i went to close the 73 hood on the 84 cab cuz i kept the 73 front clip on the truck i was unaware they changed that part so i just cut out the hood around the wiper arms, then everything worked great.
