I've tried the old guitfiddle and found I can figure out trucks easier. I bought myself a kramer and amp last winter and gave it up quick with fustration. My instructor couldn't stay sober enough to teach me one chord and the kramer was too touchy plus it was a righty and I'm a lefty. I think I'm going to give it another shot this winter though. I've got my eye on a epiphone 400 for a lefty.

Yamaha copy of a stratocaster. I hardly ever have time to play anymore, though.

I had an ibanez bass. Now we have a fender, a couple of cheapos and my brother has a gibson explorer. He's big into Metallica and Megadeth.

Want to know an interesting fact that directly relates guitars to cars? The colors used for early Fender and Gibson guitars were actually the same Dupont paint codes used on GM cars of the 50's and 60's.

http://www.provide.net/~cfh/fenderc.html

I have a few "gitboxes",

Acoustics
Fender Gemini II
Fender Newporter
EKO archtop
no-name classical

Electrics
88 Am. Std. strat
67 hagstrom III,
just built a "mahogany metal monster" w/ stainless pickguard, pics at this site:

Musicman 210-Sixtyfive combo amp

and I just sold off a Grauer LP copy and was sad to say goodbye to my old Made in Japan all-tube psychedelic Teisco amp.

I just started playing about 8 months ago and am slowly making progress. I bought a Fender Squier Strat and a little Marshall MG15DFX amp.

I used to own a vintage guitar shop in Tucson. It was called Antigua Vintage Guitars. Me and my friend got together to sell our collections. We both had over 200 guitars each. Got to meet a few famous people like Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, and Paul Mcartney. We sold out and I opened a recording studio called El Diablo Records. Was doing pretty good with that until some a-holes in a punk band ripped me off. They emptied my studio while I was at my brothers' wedding in Vegas. Came home to find the place emty except for my 65' Telecaster. I decided that enough was enough. So I sold everything that was left and moved up to Salt Lake City with my bro. Now Im a mechanic at a small shop, getting paid squat. I hate my "job", but I still play the blues. They might have broken the man, but they will NEVER break my spirit. One of these days, they will get whats due. Karma is a b!tch.
By the way, I have been playing for 25 years. Started when I was 8 years old. Music is my woman, my wife is my mistress.
