Here's my 76 Blazer with 6" of notch. Just enough to keep the back seat bolted into it's front brackets. The back of the seat sits about an inch or so higher than stock. Using stock inner wheelwells that are just moved up a few inches. I wanted the seatbelts to bolt into a crossmember, so I used some out of a 80's chevy fullsize van since they were the only ones long enough to reach back that far.
