"The Black Bandit" build thread
Posted via Mobile Device
This is the build thread for The Black Bandit '68 c10 lwb. This is gonna be a slow build because i only want to build with cash. No credit involved. I have had this truck for 3 years and i have decided that its time to stop putting it on the back burner. So, watch for updates very soon. Again it will be a slow build though.

Re: "The Black Bandit" build thread
I'm gonna be running a 327 w/ a saginaw 3 speed trans. Im going the replace all of the seals and gaskets and replace bearings if needed. Im not planning on rebuilding the engine right now because of the budget. I dont want my truck to leak oil after i have been driving so i might as well replace the gaskets and seals while its out and i already have them. I plan on posting pics as i go. So, enjoy!

Re: "The Black Bandit" build thread
Well today i pulled the engine out of the corner and started cleaning on it. I also pulled the harmonic balancer off of it. Man that was a pain! Most of the grease is already off of it from when i was working on it before so i took the wire wheel and started taking the loose paint off. Drained the oil too. It was pretty dirty.it looks clean under the covers so thats a good sign. I'll post some pics when i can get to the computer.

Look at the dirty oil. Lol. Balancer off and a little wire wheel action. Posted via Mobile Device
