Dual square headlights to single round conversion

I'm sure that I am probably not searching the forum correctly, but
what would I need to convert my 86 from dual square's to single round headlights?

I am wanting the front grill/headlights to look like this one...

Thanks for any suggestions.

Kindest regards

Re: Dual square headlights to single round conversion

You need the entire front clip from a 73-80. Both fenders, inner fenders, the core support, hood, hood hinges, grille, headlights, front valance, turn signals and bumper. I have done the swap myself and it is not that hard.

That's what I figured, is there any other way to go round without having to change the entire clip? It doesn't have to look exactly like the above pic, but something close, so I can keep my current fenders/hood etc. etc.

Re: Dual square headlights to single round conversion

You also need to swap out your windshield wiper rods. 73-80s are shorter because the cowl is built into the hood, where as 81-87s have the cowl on the cab.

yeah, i'm going to wait awhile on the conversion decision, it appears to be more work than i want to do now, so i'll be on the lookout for some trades, not sure when that will be, but at least i know what i need, and what i'm up against, thanks to all!
