One piece products glass

I bought a flush rear glass for my 83project and came across a clean 87 so the flush glass ended up going in my 87 well after a big sloppy mess the original glass went back in anyone else have experience with these windows because before I tried to fit the window I ordered a 2nd one since I stole this one from my 83 build Glad I tried it on my 87 because I would be pissed if this mess ended up on my freshly painted truck

Mess just from the glue? I haven't installed mine yet......but I'll get a professional glass guy to come to the shop to do the install. Do you like it once it was in and do you have a pic of the truck with it installed

I had a professional glass guy try it 2x I wasent around when he came the 1st time and he tried doing it with a universal molding so it looked like **** I had him come back and try again and I helped buy the glass just wasent shaped right

The consensus seems to be that installation is a pain and the final fit leaves a lot to be desired. That is on the 73-87 version, haven't heard much about previous years

I'd like to see pics! I have a local glass shop that's going to custom make one for my 80 when I'm ready for glass. I saw one they made for a 72 and it was sharp!

I fail at reading, didn't realize you meant the back glass.

It looks like the glass was under cut too small and the installer just didnt have experience installing that type of glass. Ive seen these done and they look good. Never seen that much glue used though. The fact that the glass is sticking out indicates too much glue.

i was there he ran the 1/4 bead around the glass and i helped hold it in the glass was way too small i just cant see how it will hold in theres no edge for it to sit on , in the pics the glass did slide down but even after removing it and cleaning the glue off and trying again i pulled the plug and said rope the old glass back in
