Re: Project Grande Slam: Coley's Hot Rod Shop
It's just sitting there on jack stands awaiting the new 'shoes'
Dad and I were working on the wheel studs the other day. Of course the bed is off, and the front end on stands. We pulled the back wheels off to change studs, and a floor jack underneath the center of the rear end. I pulled one of the studs through and went to release the bolt I used to tighten / pull it in. Yeah .. NEVER do this. The back of the truck came up off the jack and tilted forward. The truck was literally tetering on the jack stands, and almost went forward, into dad's Fairlane. Yikes. It didn't fall luckily, but she came up off the jack about a foot before I jumped across the rear of the frame to hold it down. Scary stuff. I don't know what it is, but my left arm is so much stronger than my right. Weird how leverage works. I never thought I could move the truck, even with the bed off. I'm double jointed in both shoulder sockets maybe that has something to do with it.
