Eric and Corgans 1964 Chevrolet C10 Project
I found this 64 on Craigslist, I grew up with classic cars never had a truck and really liked the looks of this one. My wife and I have shared a car for seven years and I wanted something to drive the four miles back and forth to work.
So this will be a long term, daily driven project. My son Corgan is 3 and loves to help me work on it and I plan on giving it to him one day as well as having something he can learn to work on and build a love for hotrod a like I did with my dad. Speaking of which he helps out a lot with this too, it's a multi-generational build haha! I hope you guys enjoy, I've learned a lot lurking on the forum and wanted to contribute. If time is a factor for you, and money is not, then catalogs are going to be your best bet. LMC, United Pacific, Brothers, Summit, Top Banana, and CCP just to name a few that are out there who supply complete replacement parts for what you listed. I did a front disc conversion using a donor 1985 truck from the local junk yard. I can tell you that it was probably a $100 or two cheaper, but the aggrivation and difficulty levels included have convinced me to use a kit next time. Your results may vary. None the less, as with all things, comparitive shop....find what you feel will best suit your needs, skill level, and tool access. In the end it has to be fun, otherwise it is just work without a pay check. Good luck with this, I am sad to see how abused your truck has been in the past.....

Nice to see you have a clear set of priorities and making nice progress. Nothing better than the learning/bonding time invested in a son or daughter. The things they pick up now will last a lifetime.
Good luck on the project.

Yeah it looks as if it probably had a flatbed on the back and was some type of work truck, I don't know how I'm going to fix that roof, and I'm on the lookout for a replacement hood Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Eric and Corgans 1964 Chevrolet C10 Project
Always great to see a father/son project! I know a local guy with a hood, and if you're looking to do brake upgrades or a suspension rebuild I've got all the new front suspension/disc brake/power steering conversion parts leftover from Goldilocks that I'm selling. Might could work something out to save you some shipping cost.

I saw you mentioned getting some professional photos done of the truck, just so happens that's what I did before I moved here, maybe we can work a partial trade. I work at Grady's now as the firearms department head Posted via Mobile Device |

Nah, that'll buff out! Nice truck, love this body style! I'm in Grady's all the time drooling at the gun dept. I'll be sure to introduce myself next time I'm in there.
