72 GMC Sierra Grande Facelift II

Well...time for a few more update pics! Buckets are in and waiting on the console in the next few weeks. I want to thank Jonathan (VA72C10) for helping me with the process. Now it looks the way I would have ordered it from the factory! Next, door installation.....

That looks great! You can't beat the orange houndstooth seat covers.

Calvin, I read all the Bucket seat install threads here on the forum. I pulled the trigger...and drilled my drivers seat holes at 1 1/4" further out (towards the door) than the factory holes for a bench seat. On the passengers side (tilt forward bucket setup), I moved the holes 1" closer towards the door. What really helped me was to put the brackets on the seats and placing them in the truck....moving them around until I thought they looked right. Good Luck !!

dohyde, No they are not stock...brackets and buckets are out of 69-72 Blazer. Jonathan (VA72C10), set me up with all the underside supports for the drivers side bracket supports (just like factory). I think some forum members sell them here. As for the seat belts....I read on the forum that you can just use the lap belts from the bench seats...you can and they look pretty good. I bought some three point belts from LMC, I might mock them up and see how they look....but the lap belts will be hard to beat!!!

Very nice. I've been looking at the Black/orange bench cover. Is the orange a good match to the hugger orange?

Thanks.....it came down to parchment wht/org, parchment wht/blk, or blk/orange. For me, that would have been too much black with the carpet and all. YES...the Orange is a great match with the Hugger Orange (524).
