Re: Just too cool
Man I'm in love with that ochre one, Take off the "Tonka" and It could pass for a factory built truck!!!, Do you have any specs on it ? or is it a internet take out?

Re: Just too cool
I found it on the net... sorry wish I knew more about it also. I can only imagine a 427 with a overdrive 5 speed, that would be too cool. Coop

Re: Just too cool
Yeah,I always liked the Stepside one best. I always thought the urge to put Tonka on trucks was silly. And,I'm a Tonka collector! Many years ago I had the vision for a factory looking Advance Design 1.5t Stepside. My thoughts were to widen the bed. That plan changed to widen the fenders,so the bed looked normal against the cab.
While trucks like this are a neat novelty,I like trucks enough to still prefer a truck with a design for purpose and would try to create a configuration I could put to use. Most likely a utility bed or tow truck.I always wanted a nice dump truck to have ready for when needed. Here's a nice job:

Re: Just too cool
Cool trucks. I like the Green one the best. To tweak it a little I would want the Bed Wheel Well Extensions to match the Fronts. I would want mine to have a 4-53 Detroit, 10-Speed RR and Factory Air Brakes.
....I'm a dreamer, lol.

That green truck is the coolest C-50 that I've ever seen.

Re: Just too cool
I like the sidemarkers in place of the front parking lights on the green one

Re: Just too cool
Was it Dino who built the Red big P/U? I have pictures, but am waiting in case he (or whoever owns it) gets a chance.

Re: Just too cool
Heres one from a local small hardware store in town. They still use this truck regularly for deliveries.

Here's a cool one. Where you gonna find another one like this to build a rat rod?
