Do the steering wheels interchange between 64, 5 & 6?
Do the steering wheels interchange between 64, 5 & 6? I thought they would. I installed a 66 deluxe steering wheel on my 64 Std. trim truck. There is no longer any space between the cup where the turn signal switch mounts, and the steering wheel. The 2 parts rub together. It seemed to go back together fine.
The steering wheel is from an automatic column. My truck has a 3 speed column. I’m not sure if this matters? The arrow points to where parts rub. BTW, the truck in the pic is not mine. I can't access my photos right now so I borrowed one.

There's adjustment, there's a clasp at the cowl as well as below the dash to move it forward and back from the steering wheel.

Thanks aerotruk63, I thought the parts you mentioned just held the it in place. I did not know it would move to adjust. Is the part that you can move called the Mast Jacket as refered to in the assembly manual?
