Craigslist truck. What do you think?
Saw this truck on Craigslist and was wondering if its worth it. Haven't looked at it but thinking about it. What do you you guys think? Looking to use it to tow my boat.

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
It just makes me cry when I see all of that west coast unrusted virgin sheet metal and know it is so far away.
Very good price for that truck even if it was a small block. |

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
Thanks for all the replies. Just looked at it. Not gonna get it. When I got there the owner was still working on it trying to get it to run. It had a lot more rust than I thought. I think I'll just sink money into my 68 gmc short bed project. Thanks again

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
This is how I feel all the time, and it's why I paid about $1500 more than this for my 69. Guess I can't complain because it came straight from South Carolina so basically that would be shipping charge and I could look at where as buying a truck far away I would not know exactly what I was getting, but damn i wish I lived down south/out west sometimes just for this reason.

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
that's a hard color to find looks to have all the trimming is it a ladder bar or a Leaf spring I have a 1968 longhorn I've never done anything with mine. But take the 396 and 400 trans out and drop it into my 1971 nova. With gas prices here in calif at 4.25 to 4.50 lot of these car's and trucks are sitting on the side of the house.Right now is a good time to buy a collector car cus most can use the gas prices as a grinding tool.LOL

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
I love everything about that truck. It's "the kind" in the 3/4t world. Even had the wide rear wheels w/OEM caps!

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
The leaf springs would be factory and the auxiliary tanks are accessory.

Re: Craigslist truck. What do you think?
Completely worth it. Even if the seller listed it with the Ford "camper special".
*we all know it is a custom camper* Gary

The bad: It is out of registration, and the back fees are over $1200. The engine is blown (owner is straight up about that stuff at least), and the tires are flat. If it moved under its own power, I would have bought it and driven it home with the plates from my other truck, lol. Posted via Mobile Device
