Nice job on the truck to this point! I am working on fixing up my dash pad while I have it out of my truck also. It isn't as bad as yours, but it is still in serious need of reconditioning.

Re: Old Blue 85 GMC 2wd to 4wd

yesterday my in-law's came over for christmas dinner and it was the first time in several years for seeing old blue. they were all thrilled, made all that hard work worth it.

still need the bed coating done and still need something for a dash.

anybody got a dark blue dash you want to part with?

Great story!

Starting with the recovery !!

I am watching the dash part also as my New 78 is now ready for a re-build since I bought it new and now has 300k and most everything is used up!!
Out here rust is not a problem BUT hot temps are h3ll on all other parts especially interior and rubber parts.

The LS engine is gathering parts and I am looking at a Howel kit for the wiring and computer, the Dirty Dingo parts arrived and I like your exhaust.
Thanks for the grading of the LMC parts, I will take all that in when I order from them, maybe!

My plastic A/C vents are trash so I am looking for new parts when I have the dash apart. I am considering a upholstery shop for a re cover of the dash, have you looked into that issue?
