WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

Well I'm gonna get a 327 that has the fuelie heads and they don't have wholes for the alt. bracket on the head so I'm gonna need to get the 67-68 alt. brackets. I have the long curved bracket that mounts to the top of the alternator with the long alot in it to adjust the belt tension. I only need the lower bracket and if I remember correctly the drivers side exhaust manifold has two threaded holes as well? So if that's true I'll need the driver ram horn. I would be happy to trade the exhaust manifold as I don't need it If I get a 67-68 ram horn thanks for looking hope I can get these parts within 32 days that's my deadline. Any helps appreciated

Re: WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

I believe I have a spare rams horn exhaust manifold and alt. bracket. Are you looking for a date coded exhaust or just any one. I will see if I can round up what I have tomorrow.

Re: WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

beetle the 69 72 AC brackets for a small block dont mount to the head (not sure about the 67 68 brackets.. i doubt they do either) so you will only need to worry about the alt like me.

ps if anybody needs these brackets like i do then please by all means after i get my bracket and ram horn if anybody else has anything might as well use this thread instead of making others.

Re: WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

Thanks desert cat... But I fortunately have the upper bracket already. Thanks for trying to help me out in my search. Hopefully that info can help someone else in search for the bracket?

Re: WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

Rick, I actually 4 of them, I will pick out best one for you

Beetle, 67-68 Alt brackets, you have to have drivers side exhaust manifold that will accept bolt to bolt these on

Thanks Randy

I think I am gonna go with the Chevelle brackets that are $195

Re: WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

67chevy1series, Here are some photos of the exhaust manifold. I see no cracks and I polished up the sealing surface and it looks good. You may have to pull the studs and replace them but otherwise a good usable manifold. I will PM with payment info. Thanks Lyle

Re: WTB 67-68 alternator brackets

They are just fine. I just unbolted both bolts when I removed the manifold this weekend and they came right out.
