Battery Charger question.

I have a power wheels battery (kids toy) that I use this charger to charge. It takes a special plug to charge the battery. So i cut the wires and added connections so I can switch back and forth from the plug to the regular clamps. My question is will these connections mess up the battery charger? I know it will add a little resistance to the wires but I don’t know if that resistance will hurt the charger. Anybody have any knowledge about this?

Re: Battery Charger question.

Thanks hayhauler71. I didn't think i would have a problem with it. My way of thinking was depending on how good the clamps clamped, it would have varying resistance on the battery charger anyway. So my connections shouldn't make any difference. I just don't know anything about how a battery charger works. Thought i would post it up. I figured if it would cause a problem someone would say don't do it.
So far I've used it a couple times and it seems to work fine.
