16" dually wheels to replace 16.5"
Will any 16" steel wheel clear the brakes on a 1978 P30 dually RV originally fitted with 16.5" wheels? Or do you need to go 17" to be sure? I won't be able to try out in advance and want the same wheels front and rear so the spare will fit either. If you think 16.5" tyres are hard to find in the USA, try Europe.

I believe all chassis that used the 16.5 are capable of going to 16's with out a problem. The .5 tire was so they could have truck only tires, and later they just swapped to 16's.
I would check rockauto.com for C30 measurements to verify. |
