airbag pressure drop when tank pressure drops
Im not thinking this is right. I have smc elec valves. I can air the susp to 140psi on all four corners and go and drain my air tank and the bags drain air with it. Shouldnt the bags stay up even if the tank is at 0psi.the valves dont need check valves do they. I did have to disasemble the valves to redo my orignal valve routing could I have assembled the valves wrong. It airs up just fine just losses air to the bags when I drain the tank.

either the valves are bad, or hooked up wrong. also, check the one way valves at the compressor.

Re: airbag pressure drop when tank pressure drops
If the bags loose air when the tank looses air, you will need to add a check valve between the tank and the valves. The check valve flows air in one direction to the valves and bags but prevent the air from flowing back into the tank when the tank loose air pressure.

Re: airbag pressure drop when tank pressure drops
This is normal with most electric valve set ups. They use back pressure to keep them closed. One would think this doesn't make sense.... But that is how they are designed.

Re: airbag pressure drop when tank pressure drops
Thank you guys for the replys. I just thought it was strange that the bags would only keep the same pressure as the tank and they are branr new. Sounds like I need check valves. Thought I would ask before I took it on its maiden voyage and if I lost air from the tank for sone reason I didnt want to wipe out my bedsides since I have no rear bumber at the moment. Where is the best spot to get some nice compact check valves?

Re: airbag pressure drop when tank pressure drops
So you would put a check valve between the tank and the valve block, correct? Does anyone know if this is how Accuair valves work?

I'm not sure about Accuair, but you will need a check valve between the tank and air valves.
