Mechanical question on an 83 gmc shorty?

I noticed that my driver side wheel has some negative camber is what it think its called or where the top of the tire is sticking further out of the fender than the bottom of the wheel. How do i fix this?

I would just take it to an alignment shop and let them fix it

Hold on.... how about some details first?
Does this truck have fairly big tires? Like 35s or more?
Lifted? How much?

The tires should have some positive camber (tire out at the top). Bigger tires make this more noticable, especially of they stick out of the fenders more. What you are probably seeing is the fact that something is wrong with the other side, letting it tilt in(negative). It could be as simple as a worn ball-joint, bent spindle, or more serious like the entire housing is bent.

A loose ball-joint should be fairly easy to check. Jacking that wheel up enough to wiggle it by hand should tell you. The others may be less obvious.

Either way, the best you can hope for at an alignment shop is just checking it out. Unless you live in a pretty big city that actually has one this specialized, they aren't going to be able to do much for you.
If is does turn out to be a ball-joint, simply replacing it cures the problem, no re-checking needed. Bent spindle, same thing, replace and move on.
There is no "adjustment" for this spec. It is all "built in" to the housing....as long as all of the parts are tight and un-damaged, it's fine.

Stock heigth and stock wheels are on it right now. Its got the wheel sticking out at the top. Im no proffesional mechanic but i dont think that its suppose to have that much tilt out at the top. heres a picture of the truck.

Sorry, I wasn't paying close enough attention. I had it in my head that I was in the 4x4 section disregard the above and take it to an alignment shop....lol

Update to my truck wiring today. I went to head to the store yesterday and the brand new battery that I bought for it was dead and started tracing wire today. As you already know the wiring is a mess so far but I found this today and was so happy to found the problem.

ha i did that to my positive about 6 months ago........i should probably do something about thats. nah i'll wait until i relocate the battery

Yeah I'm thinking that I am going to have to get a longer battery cable bc this one is stretched enough.
