Yes you can install small block rubbers on the bbc frame stands. Just use a significant washer to cover the larger hole. I used a couple of harmonic balancer washers since they're nice and thick.

I have no idea of where it is now, but somewhere in the FAQ section, I did an article on this very same issue about 8 years ago. If you have a bit of patience, it's here to read. There should be pictures in it too to clarify.

I am using the motor mounts and towers that came with the '74 454, they worked out great with the manual transmission and headers. We did have to drill holes in the frame and cradle.

I can't help you on that issue. 4x4s never came with big blocks so you are going down a completely different avenue than what we were referring to.

There are a good number of guys on here who have done with big block 4x4 thing though so the answers are certainly here if you look for them.

I can't help on that one either. That's why it is important to give all the info you can on the vehicle in the first post...

This isn't necessarily just directed toward you, this actually happens a lot.

Re: 68-71 bbc motor mounts.

i think tx firefighter just solved a huge mystery for me.I think the p.o installed a big block on small block frame stands on my truck.I think that would explain the oil pan hitting the front crossmember and not finding headers to fit.I noticed his oil pan is way far away from the crossmember.
