Here is a mock up of the subwoofers and amp setup in my 56 chevy truck build. Ive searched and could find any one with this kind of speaker setup with the factory gas tank. Subwoofers will be 2 JL Audio 6w3v3s in a ported box. With a JL 700/5 mounted between the subs. Still have to figure out where I want to put the 6x8s.

With that much room.... wouldnt you get more sound with a single 10? I like the design

I've measured and measured with the seat installed and I can't even fit 8 inch subs there. The 2 6w3v3 subs will accually be louder then a single 10. And the 6 inch woofers will get pretty low in the "tuned" ported subwoofer enclosure I'm building.

I dig it, I haven't heard the 6", but I like the idea of a tuned enclosure to hit low.

big10; check out my interior build link in my sig for an alternative to what you've started.
problem i see with your design is legroom, even if your short.
i have a single 10, 2 amps and my battery behind my seat and i can push the seat back to the window.

just re-read your first post, your keeping the stock tank
my enclose won't work for you

The design I have now will let me recline seat all the way back with out hitting the woofers. I'm not new to car audio I have built 6th order bandbass boxes with 6 inch woofers that would blow your mind on how hard and clean they hit. But a 6th order is to complexs for this build. Here is a pic of the sub setup I have in my Mercedes. 3 JL 12w3s in a ported box. It's ported thru the back deck so all the bass goes into the cab
