What would you value a short bed at???

What would you guys says the value of a short bed in kinda rough shape is worth? Has a little rust, some filler on it, and a few dents. Inside bed panels are ok. Thinking of cutting my long bed stepper down into a short bed fleetside.

show us some pix, I have a bed ( besides the one on my truck) that has ugly paint, but no rust at all, I wouldn't sell it for anything less than $600.

Re: What would you value a short bed at???

around here....northern Va they are either really expensive or borderline trash or both. I wanted a shortbed when I was shopping and finally bought a longbed step with the intention of cutting it down at some point. There was rarely anything in the middle it was either trash or treasure and priced accordingly. I was finding shortbeds (both ss and fl) for 1000-2k that were garbage.....floors gone, glass missing, dont run, every piece of sheetmetal had some problem.

Are you looking at the value if you were to sale?

Re: What would you value a short bed at???

I sold a rust free short fleet for $400 last year. Had some dents on the pass side and was missing the wood & bed strips....thought it was a fair price.
