?about motor mounts on a 70 Chevy

It had a 6 cylinder and I'm putting a 350 in it can i use the same motor mounts or do I need to move them or get different ones?

I would get the correct sbc frame stands, and move them to the correct forward position for a V8.

Sure. Many times. It just makes the distributor sit closer to the firewall than some guys are comfortable with. I've done it several times in various trucks. The hei distributor will still fully clear the firewall and can be installed and removed without interference so it never causes me any heartache.

The beauty of doing it this way is that the rest of your drivetrain is unaffected and you don't have to go to the trouble and expense of modifying driveshaft and all of that associated stuff.

My 327 sits on the 6 cyl mounts and its fine. Distributor is a little close to the firewall, but I have lots of room in front.
