Getting Deployed and Married.

My fiancee (soon to be wife) and I have just been mobilized to go to somewhere overseas, not sure where yet. We are with the 471st AG Postal out of Fort Dodge, IA. We just got back from basic training in October and will be gone again in December. We moved our wedding up to the 29th of this month from May of next year. We'll keep everyone posted.

Please Keep us in your Prayers, and wish us the best.

thank you all

Nathan and Tiffany Wheeldon

That is cool that they are going to keep you together. Good luck on assignment and thank you for your volonteering to protect American freedom.

I was in the "old" military, where they said I was married to the military, and they have to room for married soldiers with a family

Fly 'em high and proud ...... ...... ......

yes, we have been assured by our commander that they will keep us together. if we go to Iraq we will prolly live in a tent and then we will not be able to room together. if we go somewhere else that is more established with housing we may be able to room together.

to be honest we're both very scared about the future but we have to do our job. the mail must get through.

Speaking from experience, when I was in Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom I will tell you the one thing that kept myself and my fellow Marines going was mail. You don't realize it, but mail is just as important as ammo. Mail keeps morale up, and when morales up even the worst situations are tolerable. Thanks for joining the military and doing such an important and overlooked job!!! Good Luck to you both!!!
