Engine ID

OK guys,

I need to ask about engine ID on my 72 Cheyenne. First of all, I know it is not the original engine. I believe it to be a late 70's 350 like a 78 or so. It has the normal 010 last three on the casting.

The ID stamped on the passenger deck has me somewhat baffled as I have never seen one like it that I remember.

VO299800

The number is stamped and looks OK but I have not seen this many digits before. Could this be a warranty replacement block?

As always, the help is greatly appreciated.
Tom
