rally wheel paint question
Does anyone know if the rally wheel paint LMC sells is any good? I'm only questioning because the last few things I got for my 85 from LMC kinda sucked and when I'm paying the kind of prices they ask I expect a little quality is all.

Re: rally wheel paint question
I have used the wheel paint in the regular chain auto parts stores and never had a problem its also a lot quicker to get more if you need or return what you dont use

Re: rally wheel paint question
Rattle can stuff from your local auto parts. Easier to get more if touch-up is ever required. These days, I've been using VHT hi-temp header paint for Ralleys (truck & car). Flat Aluminum w/VHT satin clear....

Re: rally wheel paint question
I used VHT SP188 argent silver the last time I painted the wheels. Then I used their clear coat over it. Turned out great for me.

I used dupli-color silver metallic. Also put a few light coats of clear. Got it at oreillys.

Re: rally wheel paint question
I did use the Krylon but the Dull Alum has been difficult to find easily on the shelf. Every time I went to buy a can, it was not to be found (in my area).
I saw the VHT & tried it. IMO (having used both) the VHT has much better coverage & appears the same. If you run into the same issue w/availability, you might try the VHT.
