Re: Tachometer , any cool ideas?

I mounted mine down low, I can see it very well. I relocated the shift light to the pillar where the sunvisor screws in so I didnt have to make new holes in any sheet metal. If you leave the cap on the shift light, it doesn't blind you. Another thing is, I just couldn't see punching holes into the dash pad.

I thought so, if it was non A/C bezel 1979 GMC Sierra would probably trade you

Love how the dash looks with the LMC tach. My wife bought me one for my birthday. Any issues or recommendations before I tear mine apart. I have the full gauge cluster with clock if that helps

Thanks

You can buy red 194 bulbs from http://www.autolumination.com/ , either LED or standard bulbs would do the trick.

I was swapping idiots to tach/gauges in my 78
i got an idea to add red LEDS and keep the stock whites as well

it really shows up better ,then it does in the vid

post 123 you can see the (unlit clear) red LEDS installed after painting the housing white
I covered it more in the build below too

I think this is exactly what I would like to do with mine. Can you tell me what size that tach is - 2" or 1 7/8" or other??
Very nice look!

Re: Tachometer , any cool ideas?

This is how mine turned out. It's a little different with them mounted on the out side verses behind the gauge panel, but it works.

Here is the tach of my friend who has it on this c35 gmc fleetside truck

[IMG][/IMG]

And here is my new tach that will be installed sooner. It will fit right on the fuel palce. No need to do anything except few easy steps to be ready to go

You need fuel gauge, back plate that has 3 holes for fuel gauge where the clock should be, printed circuit for tach, tach harness. Everything i bought was from LMC which is highly recommended except the back plate from a friend who did not need it, but i gave him his money that i assumed because he was refusing to take any.
