Do I need a Fuel Return Line?
Im installing a Boyd welding rear mount gas tank on a stock 72 small block setup. Do I need to run a fuel return?
Thanks Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Do I need a Fuel Return Line?
Depends on your fuel delivery set up. If you have a mechanical pump and your carb setup takes the full pressure you shouldn't need one. If you have a high pressure pump and any fuel is bypassed you'll need a return line. I believe some hp mechanical fuel pumps came with a bypass port. If this motor is the same as before the tank swap and you did not run one then...no, not needed.
