^^ this. Running boards are best left in the past. Step side trucks are a different matter.
They are great for those who actually haul stuff.

Or for the elderly to help get themselves in.

Re: Stepsides off

Glad we got that straightened out. now that you got a pic of your truck up....it was a good choice to ditch the running boards. With those 4x4 like yours it will look more masculine with a single step bar.

Re: Stepsides off

Don't worry about it. Just a little out of context and clarification. Don't let it keep you away from the board. You're welcome here.

Just a word of advice, I learned this the HARD way. When you say things, even about your own truck think about there are thousands of people on here that might have different opinions than your own. Ex. Their truck might be a stepside, or their truck might have side steps on it and they really like them.

It's cool if you dont, but had you said something like this:

" I just bought my truck and it has side steps on it. I'm considering taking them off, I don't really like them. Would they look better off? "

Then you're neutral, you take everyone else's other opinions and just see where it goes from there. (Knowing inside you're probably going to take them off anyway)

When people post pictures of their trucks it's because they are proud to show them off. Always find something good to say. If you don't like the truck and just can't find something good to say, click the back button and move to the next thread. You'll make a bunch of friends really quickly. Email, and Internet chat can be difficult sometimes simply because it is so hard to express tone. People read into stuff and honestly when I say this post I thought you meant stepside trucks too .. I kinda thought it would run away on you. I tried to stop it.
