ANOTHER motor mount questio( confused)
Scratching my head on this one. Do these look like V8 towers in the V8 holes? Spid says 6 cyl and it is definitely a six. I am confused because my other 68 had a V8 and the towers were in the back set of holes. PLEASE HELP.

Re: ANOTHER motor mount questio( confused)
Those are six cylinder towers which someone has moved forward to the wrong set of holes. When you get the engine out of the way, you're gonna find someone drilled a new lower bolt hole for the bottom bolt. A six cylinder stand will not fit into the forward hole set without doing this.

Ok? So the PO converted it to disc brakes. Do crossmembers come with 6cyl holes or V8 holes depending on what was in the crossmember donor???

Re: ANOTHER motor mount questio( confused)
The crossmembers come with both sets of bolt holes regardless of which engine the truck came with. I'm guessing since your truck has an inline 6 and has the proper engine frame stands for that six, but they're in the wrong holes, that a previous owner did some funny stuff to make a different driveshaft fit or trans swap or something. Rest assured when your truck rolled off the assembly line with that six cylinder, the mounts were in the rear holes.
