New guy with a heater question.
So i am new to the site. Just got out of the army and came home to this beautiful 72 cheyenne that has been sitting on our property for the last 21 years tucked up in the woods sleeping. Well got her out and running but is leaking oil from every spot possible. Currently ordering everything for a complete rebuild. but my question is on the heater. If you look at the pics there is no heater blower nothing. it was all ripped out. My question is will an aftermarket heater hook up and work as good as the original or should i try to find the original and put it back in. Not worried about a stock apperance because once shes up and running good shes getting a total face lift. any help would be appreciated.

Re: New guy with a heater question.
Welcome to the site, welcome home, and thank you for your service!!
Looks like a good straight truck and should clean up very nicely. Certainly a better starting point than a lot of these rigs that end up super nice. Can't answer your heater question but I'm sure others will. My guess is you'll need original parts, either from a junkyard or maybe off the parts board here.

Re: New guy with a heater question.
A/C truck. Guess it all depends on your long term build here. Probably try and find a stock setup and keep it stock and simple.

Re: New guy with a heater question.
There was a complete take-out system (non-A/C) over on the Parts board. Not mine, so I don't know anything about it.

Re: New guy with a heater question.
Find the factory heat and air stuff and put it back in. It works fine.
