Re: Rear window plastic latch

I have a bag full of those plastic latches at home. I found a company on the web that makes them and disguised as a company interested in buying a bunch from them, they sent me a bag full for samples. I have enough to replace mine for quite a while now if they break............. that is if I can find where I put the bag now. LOL!

Mine is metal. The only plastic ones I've seen from the factory were on my brother's 94 F150.

I have a metal one in my truck that I pulled off an 80s half ton that I found in the woods. It has 'prestige' stamped into it leading me to believe it's aftermarket

Mines broke! Is there any where to buy a replacement or do you just have to find one in the scrap yard?

Re: Rear window plastic latch

The metal one in the LMC catalog that is made for their sliding window worked on my 85 silverado.. I just had to put a couple of washers on it for spacers.

That is the correct part # in the 73-87 Chevy catalog.

Re: Rear window plastic latch

They have a box of different sized latches at every parts store around in the "Help" section for $5 or so. New screws and all. Black plastic.
