Re: 1999 silverado

You mentioned having a K&N air filter. You oil those routinely. You might try cleaning the MAF sensor. Sometimes air filter oil will get on the sensor and cause some issues.

I was going to say the same thing. A dirty MAF will cause all sorts of problems, especially stumbling at idle or driving.

Re: 1999 silverado

I've noticed that you said "told" they were good. Is there any way you can check for your self? Not saying your mechanic is screwing you over, but it has happened before. If the fuel PSI is good, I would pull the MAF off clean it. If that does not work, possibly the air filter is gone? Can you describe the stumble? Is it a heavy stumble where it feels like the truck is hitting a wall, or is it a subtle stumble? Also, you didn't happen to incorrectly adjust the elevation on the computer? I am not familiar with that chip, and what it offers.

Re: 1999 silverado

mainly say doing 60 then press pedal to floor then it has a hard stumble. when you let off a bit its ok. i clean the kn airfilter every year and the air flow sensor gets cleaned while im at it with the correct cleaner. i guess i need to check the fuel pressure myself but like i said it did this with the original pump to
