yeah I went to wally world and got a gallon of purple power for 5 bucks....put it in a garden sprayer and soaked the frame, scrubbed it with a stiff nylon brush... pressure washed all that off... put 5 or 6 scoops of tide in a 5 gallon bucket, and slopped that shyt on, and let it sit a few min... scrubbed again with stiff brush... washed it off with water... did that twice, all good

yeah, i got a deal i couldn't pass up... sandblasting of my entire frame, all crossmembers, springs, arms, rear end etc. etc. for only 90 bucks... after all the cleaning and washing I did, it would be fine like it is, but for such a small price, i felt i couldn't pass it up.
snowed here last night, so I won't be able to prime it until it gets warm, so I'm waiting to have it blasted when it's warm so I can prime it right after.

pulled out parts from storage, heater core/blower box, doors, dash panel that has the VIN code on it etc. etc. so I can get that all prepped for primer/paint as well.

Bed is out waiting to be pressure washed as well..

so I'm working on a lot of prep work to get all of the inside of the cab primed/painted so I can get all that out of the way, I want to get this cab back on as soon as possible so it will start looking like a truck again
stay tuned...

Re: My new project 86 Silverado

Well there you go. Good deal. That is hard to pass up. Even though I degreased and power washed mine as well, I am having it blasted too. This guy is $135 and hour and said it should only take him an hour to do it. You just can't pass up things like that. The best thing is that he is coming to me and I am not having to take everything to him. Looking forward to your pics.
