1975 Gentlemen Jim GMC

There is an earlier thread about special edition trucks, thought I'd share one on local C'list if you're looking, not mine, it's in a town about 30 miles north of me in Brewton AL, looks like a deal maybe.

http://pensacola.craigslist.org/cto/3656202073.html
Make offer!!1975 GMC Gentleman Jim (Brewton)
READY TO SELL !! Make offer.
I screwed up and held this truck for a guy and let several buyers go and I will not hold it again !
TARGET PRICE IS $3200. But I'm motivated!!!!
Fact: 1 of 1000 produced
Fact: 39 year old truck that was used as a truck
Fact: 1 sold on eBay a month ago with most of what makes it rare either missing or in very poor condition. Rust holes that you could through a cat through, and it went for 2800.00
Fact : there is one currently for sale with a lot of incorrect items on it but it does appear to be nice. They are asking 11,500.
Fact: it is very rare but doesn't show up in most collector value guides. ( who knows what it's worth)
Fact: it is capable of being a daily driver with very little service work being done. If you want to make a show truck it will need to be restored.
Fact : if your looking for a truck to beat around in or to carry trash to the dump in you can find one cheaper.
I don't have time to restore it at the moment and I have owned it 8 years. I just hate for it to continue to sit.

The trucks runs and drives shifts as it should. The A/C is all there but does not work. The heater core will have to be replaced. The windshield needs to be replaced. The body is in great shape with very little rust, the only bad spot is pictured.
Floor pans and frame are in great shape. Bed has surface rust in floor but nothing bad. Brakes and shocks are good.
Dash has small cracks, carpet is faded
Seats have separated at seams.
Speedometer cable needs replacing tach works but pretty sure there's a bad spot in the wire because it doesn't come in till about 1500 rpm.
Rear end has wear in the pinion there is movement and the pinion seal leaks.
Note: I drove it about 3000 miles in July of 2012 while the transmission was being built in my daily driver. I had no problems and I was driving it about 100 miles per day.
If you are serious about owning a piece of history. Feel free to email me and set up an appointment to see it.
Include your name and phone number with the fist email.
I work nights and sleep at different times include the best time to contact you.
NOTICE: WHEELS PICTURED ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH SALE OF TRUCK.
I HAVE THE FACTORY WHEELS THAT WILL BE INCLUDED.
I will consider trades but only items I can use in my bussiness.
I could use a gooseneck trailer but it must have at least 24' of flat deck.
I will look at cargo vans or box trucks as possible trades as well.
Thank you for looking.

Re: 1975 Gentlemen Jim GMC

First time I have seen those mats. They would almost have to be a GM accessory. Jay

Re: 1975 Gentlemen Jim GMC

The mats came with the Gentleman Jim package. The driving lights on the front bumper and bed rails were not always included but available through the dealer. They also had a tonneau cover you could get through the dealer. I've seen enough of the stainless window shades (or whatever they are called) and stainless mudflaps to be pretty sure they were also available at the dealer. The two attached pics also show the factory Gentleman Jim stereo kick panel speakers.
