Comps and tank
Hey guys im new to airride and my edc burnt up on me, while running it I had no air probs and have a 7 gallon tank. My question is what would be the recomennded compressors and tank size for my 91 suburban, it takes about 90 lbs to get full lift on the front and I like to play with the switches. Thanks in advance for any info

Re: Comps and tank
5 gallon tanks n larger they recommend dual compressors. Look for compressor ratings at 100% duty cycle ratings. I think Zenith has a reliable rating not sure.

Re: Comps and tank
Also look at the amp draw. Heard that Zenith's are louder than Vair. Both are rebuildable. But chances of both compressors failing at the same time in a dual setup would be slim. Vair on price so kinda depends on you.

Re: Comps and tank
Depending on how many gallons of air you will have, will determine how many compressors to run. A general rule of thumb, is 2 compressors to every 5 gallons. However, a single compressor can be used for every gallons, but the fill time will of course be slower.
If you are running 7 gallons I would go with dual compressors for sure. Depending if you have a 150 PSI or 200 PSI system, I would recommend either the VIAIR 400C's or the VIAIR 444C's. |
