parking brake pedal

OK guys, dumb question here probably, but I have a redone 69 parking brake assembly I was going to use on my cab. Since I'm swapping to a '68 cab, is the mounting still there since it has the lever vs the pedal? Just wondering if I'm going to have to stick with the '68 setup or if I can use the new '69 one. I guess I'll find out next weekend when i get the cab... but just wondering what I'm in for! I know the cabs are slightly different so not sure what changed.

Thanks in advance.

Re: parking brake pedal

The 68 firewall is different and could be made to use the 69 style foot brake but it is a bit of work. Swapping in a section of firewall from a 69 or newer is probably the way to go. The fuse panel on the 68 is in the way and if you compare the two fire walls closely they have some differences that have to be accounted for.

Re: parking brake pedal

Yea sounds like I'm gonna stick with the 68 handbrake. Was just wondering since I had the nice new pedal assembly. Guess that's going in the for sale section!
