69 Blazer power steering conversion

I did a power steering conversion on my blazer. Everthing bolted up nicely and I have power steering now. The frame had the dimples where the gear box bolts up. Should I worry about too much stress in the area where the gear box bolts up causing my frame to crack or am I good to go?

I think you'll be fine, just be aware that tire size, trying to turn the steering wheel when the front tires are up against a rock and trying to turn when not rolling might be hard on the frame.

Re: 69 Blazer power steering conversion

My 70 frame i have now was reinforced in that spot from the factory I'm assuming, because it looks stock. If your going to do much offroading I would reinforce that area with plating welded to the frame. You might be able to find someone selling that portion of the frame and cut the piece you need. My 69 k5 cracked in that area, but it could have been from a heavy footed teenager with too much power and 35" tires at the time
